The major mandates of KVK include application of technology/products through assessment,
refinement and demonstration for adoption which can be achieved through On Farm Testing (OFT),
Front Line Demonstrations (FLDs) and Trainings of farmers, farm women, rural youth and extension personnel.
KVK also work as resource and knowledge centre of agricultural technologies for supporting initiatives of
public private and voluntary sector for improving the agricultural economy of the district.
Produce and supply of technological products like seeds, planting material, bio-agents,
young ones of live stock etc, to farmers and organizing various extension activities to
create awareness about improved agricultural
technologies for faster dissemination also contributes important function of KVK.
